I created this Artificial Candy Dispenser over the course of three weeks in Stanford’s Product Realization Lab, using sketches, rapid prototypes, functional prototypes, and lots of testing to arrive at my final design. This assignment had a variety of constraints and requirements, such as: using rotary motion and a spring, dispensing one artificial candy per actuation, resetting for each actuation, and using mechanical stock components. This physical design project challenged me in a new way, and it was gratifying to see my ideations come to life in three dimensions. Scroll through my photo essay below to see the full process!
